I have been taking my 15 teen year old out to practice driving. He was hesitant with snowy weather, but now he is all about it! As we were driving through the subdivision the other day, he appeared very comfortable. We have now been driving within this area for several months. He is doing a great job. He is still green and just needs some time and practice and he will be great.

Oh gosh I remember those terrifying days of teaching my kids to drive.

The words of your son imitating his dad...adorable. you captured the essence of the moment so well. You've captured teenage overconfidence in this short span! And as a sidebar, if your responses are accurate...you seem to be handling it well.

I can not even imagine this, although I know my day will come soon! I'm also hoping to God that neither wants to drive like their dad...or me really....maybe someone else should teach them!!

I love this! Driving with a teen adds 10 years to your life, but I do love his confidence. SMOOTH! I seriously laughed out loud and I could picture you trying to hide your smile.
